Dr. Abby McEwan
Abby McEwan, MD, is a facial plastic surgeon and co-founder of Tampa Face + Body. Her practice is focused on aesthetic surgery of the head and neck region with particular interest in facial rejuvenation. One of Dr. McEwan’s favorite aspects of facial plastic surgery is developing a relationship with her patients to allow for a fully customized treatment plan that leads to beautiful and natural results.
After her Otolaryngology residency at the University of Missouri, Dr. McEwan joined a general Otolaryngology practice in Kansas City, Missouri. She then went on to complete a facial plastic surgery fellowship at one of the longest established facial plastic surgery training programs in the country. Additionally, she had the honor of training under multiple renowned facial plastic surgeons throughout her surgical residency, including a former president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as a former president of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. She takes great pride in the quality of her surgical training and values the time that she spent with her mentors.
Dr. McEwan has the academic qualifications you expect from a plastic surgeon. She excelled throughout her undergraduate studies and medical school, earning top honors and awards. She matched into a competitive Otolaryngology residency as well as an accredited Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship. She is very proud of her peer reviewed publications. When not working, Dr. McEwan loves spending time outdoors in the beautiful Florida sunshine. She has taken up paddleboarding and is an avid runner. She can almost always be found navigating her childrens’ schedule and serving as a taxi driver for them, consumed with all things dogs, and continuing the never ending pursuit of the perfect homemade sourdough.
